A couple of things about RC SWAG Permanent Decals:
They are permanent. Meaning that once you place it, you can not peel it back up and or place back down. It chips away if you try to peel it.
There are 3 layers, the BACKING, the DECAL itself, and the TOP CLEAR TRANSFER LAYER.
To place your permanent decal, follow the instructions below:
- Place the decal face up on a flat surface so you can see the decal print / design.
- Take a squeegee (A drivers license or credit card works well too) and gently swipe it across the top of the decal in one direction a couple of times. The purpose of this is to get the decal to stick to the top clear transfer tape layer.
- Next, pick up the decal and start to gently peel the top clear transfer layer from the bottom backing layer. Do not peel too far apart in this step. Once you have them separated just a little bit, move on to the next step.
- Place the decal face down on a flat surface while keeping the layers slightly separated. Slowly start to roll the backing layer with one hand away from the top clear layer that is being held down by your other hand against the flat surface. As you roll it away, you should see the decals painted white’ish backside. The decal should be stuck to the top clear transfer layer. Make sure that the decal is stuck decently to that top layer! If it is, completely remove the backing by rolling it away gently. If the decal is sticking to the backing side or is floating and not stuck to either side, quickly and gently stop and repeat the 1st step to get it to stick to the top clear transfer layer side.
- With the transfer side top layer and decal you should be able to see through and guide to where you would like to place it! You have one shot once you start to stick it down so make it count! Place the sticker and press it down rubbing down on the top of the top clear transfer layer. Now gently peel away the top clear transfer layer slowly making sure that the decal itself is sticking firmly to the desired surface!
- After the removal of the clear transfer tape, gently give it another press down directly on the decal.
- Let it cure for 24 hours and you are done!
